Frequently Asked Questions

    • Q: What should I bring? It is helpful to bring and apron and/or a towel. You may bring a water bottle, light snack or beverage of your choice. Come prepared to get dirty, with clipped nails, long hair pulled back, and shoes.  Please, no bare feet in the studio. 
    • Do you offer refunds? No, we do not offer refunds but we can offer in store credit.  
    • Q: What is included? All materials are provided including clay, tools, glazes and firing. Every Student signed up for an 8 week class with have access to up to 25# of clay.  
    • What happens if I need more clay before the end of the 8 weeks? You may purchase another 25# of clay at the cost of $25. 
    • What happens if I do not use all of the 25# of clay at the end of the 8 weeks?  If you are not continuing the remainder of clay will go back to the studio as "Class Clay."  This clay is used for workshops and kids classes, thus helping to make classes more affordable. No wet clay can leave the studio without express permission. Thank You!
    • What kind of clay do we use in class? Class clay is a cone 6 white clay or a cone 6 tan stoneware. No other clay may be brought into the studio without express permission. 
    • Q: Can I cancel a class after I sign up? Yes, but there is a $20 nonrefundable deposit and no refund within 2 weeks of class.  
    • Q: Will my pottery be dishwasher safe? Yes, all work is dishwasher safe and dinnerware safe. It can also go in the microwave, but be careful as it can get hot!
    • When will it be done? Work will be ready in 3 weeks for pick up at the studio. 
    • Do parents have to stay? No, but they are welcome to do so if they would like.  There is free WiFi and a comfortable couch.  
    • What happens if I miss a class? If you are signed up for a  8 week class you can make up a missed class in any other class time if there is space available. Please check the calendar for other times. All 8 classes should be completed in 10 weeks.  If your enrollment extends past 10 weeks a class will be deducted for every additional week.
